SDL - Nagakura Kiyo

~The design has had a complete reworking. Giving a tip of the hat to the old design, though. I'll get to fixing her bio very soon. :3~

~Note: From what I understand (but I could be wrong), a bow in the back supposedly means "Geisha". Kiyo is not a Geisha. However, her design and personality just screamed "I NEED A GIANT PINK BOW", and so I obliged.~

This is the main template for my character for 's Samurai Dueler's League. Weapon/equipment sheet with a turn around of the character coming very soon! (I will start it after my final tomorrow, heh )

Name: Nagakuro Kiyoko
Nickname: Kiyo
Age: roughly 22
Sex: Female
Height: 5' 1"
Build: very athletic, muscle ftw
Weapon of choice: Fists and feet (though she has more leg strength, so is more prone to grapple and kick) and the katana with an extra long handle. (better control and reach) However, she's exceedingly resourceful and has been know to use anything up to small field mice was a useful weapon in a fight.
Special abilities: stealth, stealing, fighting (respectively)
She is extremely fast, and while not super strong, it is very deceptive for her size. She's also an expert climber and swimmer. She's very intelligent and alert.

Personality: Kiyo is a very curious and adventurous girl. She loves exploring new regions.
However, due to her past, she's a bit of a kleptomaniac. She's good at not being caught, but that doesn't mean it never happens. She's not being malicious when she steals, it's just something she doesn't think about.
She's very resourceful and doesn't waste time getting anything done. She's not the type to monologue. Small talk and gossip, yes, monologues, no.
She's quite friendly and her adventuresome nature also applies to her interactions with people. She tries to get to know a person as much as possible in their first meeting without pushing too many buttons. She's good at reading people so she doesn't ask too many questions. Actions will always speak louder.
She enjoys fighting, but not for her life. A friendly spar is always good, but she finds no shame in avoiding conflict.
She's very practical, but at the same time girly, as you can see by her outfit. Think Kaylee from Firefly. A pair of greasy overalls placed over a shirt with floral print.
History: Kiyo was born to absolute abject poverty. She made her way learning to fight and defend herself on the street and how to steal and not get caught. She got quite good at it and made a decent living for herself.
However, one day she was caught stealing from a noble lord. Things were broken and her accomplice at the time made off with the rest (rotten bastard!). Thinking fast under the blade of a sword, she came up with a deal and sweet-talked her way out of being killed. She would enter the Samurai Dealer's League and fight. The lord, Abarai Hachirou, would not only bet on her fights, but she would also relay information on who to bet on (inside information ftw!), and even secretly interfering in fights when it looks bad for her "sponsor".

The contract goes as follows (sugar coated to cover up the machinations, just in case an outside party should see ):

I, Nagakura Kiyo, am employed under Lord Abarai Hachirou to fight in the Samurai Duelers' League to pay of a debt of 79,436 yen. I am not responsible for any money lost from betting on my fights or any fight the Lord or any of his friends or associates may partake in. The amount owed shall not exceed 79,436 yen, and once an amount has been payed off, it cannot be taken back.
